Environmental Racism Solution Series

Nov 11, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Last year, Action St. Louis, Arch City Defenders, Dutchtown South Community Corporation, and the Sierra Club – Eastern Missouri Group worked with Washington University School of Law’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic to produce the Environmental Racism in St. Louis Report. We are partnering again to bring a series of events to discuss solutions for making St. Louis a whole and healthy city.

All events except for the Summit Event will be hosted online only:

10/21- Heavy Breathing: Let’s look at asthma, air pollution, and the environmental injustice that ties these two

10/28- It’s A Dump: Dive deep into the illegal dumping and vacant properties and see the communal issues they cause

11/04- High Costs: Explore food apartheids and economic disparities low income and BIPOC citizens face in St. Louis

11/11- Old & Moldy Toxins: Take a look at how mold and lead poisoning disproportionately affect BIPOC citizens

11/14- Summit Event: Climb atop a mountain of knowledge at our symposium event with entertainment and socially-distant activity

We invite you to join us for one or all of the events. This will be a safe and open place for those impacted by the systemic racism of St. Louis to bring their experiences, thoughts, and feelings to share.
