A documentary premiere on closing the Workhouse–and what comes next.

For generations, the Workhouse stood as a symbol of punishment, neglect, and the criminalization of poverty in St. Louis.

“Hell on Hall Street” is a documentary chronicling the grassroots movement that shut it down — led by people directly impacted, community organizers, and legal advocates who refused to accept cages as public safety.

Join us for the premiere screening and a post-film panel discussion with members of the team behind the movement.
